Troop Meeting

6:30 PM Troop Committee Meeting

Popcorn: Please continue to sell popcorn. We have had very few totals turned in to date. Sells of popcorn allow the troop to do fun and exciting actives like Rafting, caving, Carowinds, waterparks, and its pays for camp sites and troop gear. It also buys T-shirts for summer camp and supplies for family night just to name a few. We also have the responsibility of the up-keep of our meeting place, so please go out and hit the neighborhoods and sell popcorn.

Please let Mr. Essex know how much popcorn you have sold. Turn in all completed popcorn sheets

Search and Rescue Camporee: Nov 1-3

Please sign-up for this trip Tuesday night. Don’t miss out on what looks like a fun weekend.

Troop JLT: Troop and Patrol leaders in November. Dates and times will be available at Tuesday’s night meeting. This training is very important to the future of our troop please plan to attend this training.

Christmas Family:

We have elected to sponsor a Christmas Family this year. We will have a needs list available at the Tuesday’s night meeting. This is a great way to support our community and help others in need.

Backpacking: Oct 18-20 Pack Shake down Tuesday night. If you are going backpacking you must bring your pack loaded (except food) to the meeting. We will meet at the Scout hut at 5:00PM Friday and travel to south mountain state park. Please be on time it will be very important to be at the park before 8 PM. Please eat before arriving at the Scout hut or bring something with you, we will not have time to stop along the way.

Time: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm

SPECIAL PROJECT HELP NEEDED:

WHEN: Saturday, October 5, 2013

Start time: 6:30 – 7:00 a.m.for 2 hours

12 noon for 2 hours

WHERE: The Special Children’s School

(Corner of Yadkinville Rd and Shattalon Dr.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: 3-4 for each time period

WHY: Annual yard sale fundraiser for the PTA (money raised helps the school)

(FYI, PTA co-president, Mr. Steve Smith, had a son in Troop 919)
