Aviation Merit Badge – Mr. Colburn (Avery’s Dad) has made us aware of an Aviation Camp scheduled this summer. A flyer for the camp is attached.

This camp is not a Scout activity, however, it may be that you could earn many of the requirements for the Aviation merit badge at this camp. The BSA Flying Plan Appliciation (click on this link) may be required before a demonstration flight as well.

Yard Sale – Our Philmont crew is planning a yard sale to help defray some of the trip expenses.  Mark your calendars for Sept. 10.

Troop 919 Scout Fun Day
US National Whitewater Center

Our plans are to meet at the Scout Hut at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday (June 4) for our trip to the US National Whitewater Center. We will be returning after 6:00 p.m. and the Scouts will call with an estimated arrival time after we leave Charlotte.

The Boy Scout package at the USNWWC includes lunch. Scouts may want to bring along some extra spending money for snacks, etc. for their day in the park and in case we stop on the way home. Consider the USNWWC an amusement park when planning your budget!!

Don’t forget SunScreen and a water bottle!!!!

The U.S. National Whitewater Center is the world’s premier outdoor recreation and environmental education center offering activities such as Rafting, Biking, Climbing, Ziplines, Eco Trekking and more. Listed below are some suggestions from the USNWWC’s website on what to bring along.

The USNWC provides all necessary activity specific equipment and gear. Exceptions include when a guest arrives with no closed-toe and/or secure footwear and such attire is required to participate in an activity.
