Troop 919 Notes 4-30-12
Backpacking    This weekend, May 5-6.   We will be meeting at the scout hut at 8:00 am Saturday, Please be on time. It will be important to leave shortly after 8am.
Please bring your gear to Tuesday’s meeting for an equipment shakedown.  Don’t let the lack of equipment keep you from going on this trip we will have some extra equipment. Use the backpackers list attached or your scout handbook.
Summer Camp  Please fill-out your merit badge selection form for summer camp. All schedules will need to be reviewed by the Scoutmaster before they are approved.
If you have any concerns or questions about going to camp please see one your adult leaders.
Medical Forms
The BSA requires that we have a current annual health and medical record form on file for each Scout and leader. It is now time for each Troop 919 Scout and Leader to have their medical form updated. The BSA Health and Medical Form can be downloaded here.  Please give your completed form to Tim Lasley. BSA Health and Medical Form can be downloaded here.
Camp Cards   Sell! Sell! Sell!
If you have sold all of the camp cards you were given, bring the money and get more cards remember the more cards you sell, the more money you earn towards summer camp. 
Philmont 2013 Crew Your next installment is now due. The payment will be $125 please see Mr. Hough to make this payment.

Troop 919 Message

 

Troop 919 Notes 4-23-12
Backpacking  Our next outing will be a backpacking trip. May 4-6. Please sign-up Tuesday night. If you need gear please let your Senior Patrol Leader know. Don’t let the lack of equipment keep you from going on this trip.
Forsyth county merit badge college   Saturday 4-28  If you did not sign-up for the Merit badge college and still want to go they will register you the day of the event. The cost will be $15
Cystic Fibrosis walk at Tanglewood Park April 28 at 7:30 am everyone is invited to come out and help staff the walk.   OA members that went to Conclave this weekend please wear you’re “CAT in the Hat shirts. It’s a great cause and a great way to do some cheerful service.  
Summer Camp if you have not signed-up for camp you need to this week. We will continue summer camp merit badge sign-ups this week. All schedules will need to be reviewed by the Scoutmaster before they are approved.

Troop 919 Message

 

Troop 919 Notes 4-16-12
 
PLC meeting. We will have a PLC meeting this week at 6:30pm before the scout meeting. If you hold a leadership position in the troop you are expected to attend this meeting. Anyone is welcome to come and take part in the planning of next month’s activities.
New River Bike Trip  I you did not go on the bike trip last week-end you missed out. The weather was perfect, the food was great, the ride was beautiful and we learned something too.  Congratulate the Raven scouts for completing their totem chip. A special thanks to Kent, Chris, Paul and Andy for setting up and running the ax yard. It was a great show of skill and leadership.
