Troop 919 notes 5-27-2013

Troop Committee meeting: 6:30 PM Tuesday night.

Program: Pack shakedown/menu planning

Please bring your pack loaded and ready to go to the meeting Tuesday night. Remember your ten essentials.

Open/closing: Buffaloes

Program: Antelopes

Game: Cherokees

Camp cards: Please turn in your money or cards to Mr. Erickson on or before
May 28.

Backpacking trip: May 31-June 2 Shining rock wilderness area. Please sign-up
tonight so we can make finial arrangements.

Swim Checks: June 4 7:30 we will meet at Fulton YMCA to complete our Swim checks. The
fee is $3

June Fun Day: June 9 we will be going to Carowinds.

This trip is open to family members please sign-up so you can take advantage of the group rates. $32 per person. We need to collect at sign-up. The troop will cover the fee for troop members.

Summer Camp: Final summer camp payments a now due. It’s not too late to sign-upfor Summer camp 2013: July 14-20 Cost will be $265.00 plus any activities
fees.

Health Forms: All scouts and Scouters are required to complete and have a Doctor sign a health form yearly. Please have these completed and in the near future.

PLC 6:30 PM Tuesday night. Attendance is required if you hold a troop of patrol leadership position

Car Wash Help

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When: Saturday, June 8th

 

Location: Chick-fil-A at 1925 Peace Haven Rd.

Time: Arrive between 9:15-9:30. Briefing at 9:30. Starts: 10am to 2pm

Bring: wash clothes, dry towels, drinking water & buckets

Clothing: Class B’s, (Clothing might get wet so don't bring expensive stuff, shorts are great).

 

 

 

Lunch will be provided

It’s not too late to sign-up for Summer camp 2013:   Please sign-up. July 14-20 Cost will be $265.00 plus any activities fees. A deposit of $ 100.00 is needed at sign-up. We need a commitment and deposit

Kent's Eagle Project information.

 

TROOP 919
Kent’s Eagle Scout Project
Sure could use your help.
Where: The Special Children’s School
                4505 Shattalon Drive (corner of Shattalon Dr. and Yadkinville Rd.)
 
When: Saturday, May 11, 2013
              8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
              Lunch provided
              1:30 – 5:30 p.m.
 
              Sunday, May 12, 2013
              3:30 – 5:30 p.m., if we do not finish on Saturday
             
             
Need 2-3 scouts to help with building 2 wheelchair accessible planters. You will need safety goggles.
 
Need 10-12 scouts to help with landscaping a long border area (236 feet); preparing ground and soil and planting 100 plants. Supplies needed are shovels, rakes, spades and watering cans and a few wheelbarrows; bring if you can. Also, bring work gloves and safety goggles if you have them.
