Service for The Special Childrens School
SPECIAL PROJECT HELP NEEDED
WHEN: Saturday, October 5, 2013
Start time: 6:30 – 7:00 a.m. for 2 hours
12 noon for 2 hours
WHERE: The Special Children’s School
(corner of Yadkinville Rd and Shattalon Dr.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: 3-4 for each time period
WHY: Annual yard sale fundraiser for the PTA (money raised helps the school)
(FYI, PTA co-president, Mr. Steve Smith, had a son in Troop 919)
Please let me know if you can help by Friday, Oct. 4, so I can let them know.
I will be taking the SAT on Saturday and can not attend; however, I am trying to help by getting them help.
In advance, thanks to those who can provide them this needed help; setting up and taking down for the yard sale.

Place – Bethabara God ’s acre
Project:Repairing split rail fence and placing cement pads under head stones
Directions – Reynolda Rd. to Old Town Drive (Old Town Drive is the road at the intersection at McDonalds) The road to the graveyard (God’s Acre) is the second rd. on the right off Old Town Rd.
Project times: Friday Sept. 27 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Saturday Sept. 28 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Lunch will be served on Saturday!
What to bring: work gloves, measuring tape, post hole diggers, shovel, strong back,

Troop Meeting
POPCORN KICK-OFF
BROOKSTOWN FELLOWSHIP HALL
7:30 PM
Please attend the meeting Popcorn is the main funding for our troop and allows us to go to cool places and maintain our Scout hut
TROOP COMMITTEE MEETING
6:30 PM
BROOKSTOWN FELLOWSHIP HALL
SPLUNKEN Trip:
We will meet at the Scout hut at 5:30 Friday and return late Sunday morning.
We will stop and eat supper Friday night so please bring money
The cost will be $15 and needs to be paid Tuesday night.
We need the attached waiver signed by your parents and returned Tuesday night.
We will have menu planning after the popcorn presentation
Lyles’ Eagle Project Update
Lyle would like to thank everyone for their help with his project and because everyone worked so had they completed all the work last Saturday. So next Saturday’s scheduled date will not be needed.

Troop Meeting
Troop PLC 6:30 PM
7:30 PM Scout Hut
Troop PLC
It is very important that troop and patrol leadership attend tonight’s PLC. The PLC is the meeting where program is planned the for the month that follows. This meeting is open to all scouts and you are encouraged to come and present ideals
SPLUNKEN Trip:
We will camp a Grandfather Mountain camp ground Friday night. We will travel to the cave Saturday morning, spend 3-4 hours exploring the cave, eat lunch and return to the camp ground late Saturday afternoon. We will camp and return late Sunday morning. Departure time and detailed information will be available tonight.

Sign-up deadline is tonight for this trip we need to get a firm number for pricing and reservations

Brookstown United Methodist Church needs your help.
Brookstown United Methodist Church
Needs volunteers
Thursday 12th and Friday 13th evenings 6:00 PM
Saturday 14th morning 8:00 AM
To help with the Church yard sale and Fall Festival.
All hours worked will count as service hours for rank advancement.
The Church is asking for items to put in the yard sale so clean out your basements and closets and donate them. Please drop the items off at the picnic shelter below the Church Friday night or Contact Roberta Lasley at 336-817-3051 to arrange a drop off time.
