Scout hut Clean-up: 6:30 PM (Please read not below)

I’m going to get to the scout hut ~6:30 on Tuesday 9/30 to do a little straightening up/organizing. I’d really like some help! We have a lot of tents that need to be checked out for damage or missing items, and/or put in their correct lockers. The lockers themselves could also use some straightening up. Additionally there’s a lot of stuff laying around that just needs to be straightened up, put away, or thrown away. I will bring a shop vac and broom(s) in case we have time to clean the floors.
Adult leaders: our locker could really use some organizing as well.
Quartermasters: if you could reach out to your respective crews via text, phone, email, smoke signal and urge them to pitch in and help take care of our 2nd home that would be great.
For those like myself that may need a little “boost” after an already full day, I may have some soda available during this time.
Scout Hut furniture: the couches upstairs are….well…let’s face it, they’re pretty bad. Does anybody have a couch that’s not torn up that they don’t need anymore? I’ll be happy to come get it and bring it to the hut, free of charge! Nothing crazy big, as getting them up the stairs will be tricky. We will meet at Brookstown UMC Tomorrow night for POPCORN! Kick-off.
Troop Program: Popcorn Kick-off/Backpack Shakedown/Menu Planning.
Troop Popcorn Sales: Popcorn sales begin Oct.26th It will be very important for each scout to get out and sell popcorn. Popcorn sale money is used to support our Scout Hut (utilities, upkeep). Each scout befits from troop paid activities and scout accounts. Our sales also help at a council level to provide for programs.
Pack Shakedown: Please bring your backpack to the meeting this week. Pack as if you are going to leave on the trip after the meeting. We will be doing a trip the will require you to carry your pack for many miles,so think about what you bring and make sure you need it. Use your handbook for a packing list. You must have your 10 essentials. The weather is very unpredictable at Grayson highlands. Please pack to accommodate a change. Please bring rain gear, lightweight jacket(fleece), water bottle, and no cotton.

Troop Program: Bring your backpack to scout night. Please pack your backpack as if you are going on a trip. We will shake down the packs and see what we can learn.
Brookstown Community Festival: Sept. 13 Brookstown needs our help with set-up, take down and thought out the day. Please plan on supporting one of our Charter churches with this very important event.
Philmont Crew 2015: The crew will have a yard sale during the Brookstown’s fall festival and would like to collect donations of items to sale. If you want to help please contact Mr.Carr

Fall Fellowship September 19th-21th we encourage all OA members to attend Fall Fellowship at Camp Raven Knob. There will be fun activities, competitions and chapter/Lodge elections.
